Hi there
I am driving a Fiat sienna 1.2 EL, which is the sedan version of a palio.
I have a problem with irratic and uneven idleing which results in the stalling of the engine when it reaches working temperature. I bought the car as an accident damaged vehicle. The engine was not damaged except for the oil pump.
I could not find a replacement pump at a reasonable price, so bought a uno pump which fits 100%. The only problem is that there is no bracket for the pick-up sensor on the oil pump that fits next to the timing gear. I made my own bracket and fitted the sensor. The car starts perfectly well, but as soon as it reaches temperature it starts idleing unevenly.
Could it be that the sensor is at the wrong angle? How and what is the actual work of this sensor?
I have replaced the lambda, heat sending and this specific sensor, nothing is working.
Please supply me with some of your wisdom
