Please Help-Fault Code P0351

Hi there,fault code P0351 ignition coil A primary/secondary circuit malfunction.change plugs and new coil leads but still happening.can someone tell me what the fault code mean,does the bad signal come from the coil itself or does it comes from somewhere else, etc ECU maybe.please HELP

You don't even tell us what car it is! The psychic abilities of forum members are generally over-rated.

My first port of call would be, just as the code says, the coil(s).

Sorry mate.its a fiat brava sx 1.6 2000(x reg).if its the coil is there a test that i can do too see if it is the coil itself thats faulty.

Hi all,would the coil pack make just one HT lead (A) misfire or do they break down in pairs.like 1-4,or 2-3 to fail together.

I'd expect it to break down in pairs, but.........

One cylinder down and an ignition issue would make me strongly suspect either a lead or a plug. Try changing the plugs over (one may have given up or fouled) and then the leads, so that the coil for 1
and 4 now feeds 2 and 3.

If that doesn't get you any closer, I'd look at the wiring to the coils and/or I think the coils are common to a shedload of FIATs of the same epoch -- you could pick up some cheap at the scrappy.

HI all,changed the plugs and new leads but the same thing happened again,sort of misfire read fault code and its the same code P0351 ignition coil A.swapped lead 1 and 2 over to see if its the lead(A) but still happened and still the same fault code produced P0351.any ideas

Try the coils.
