Hi all,
Had a Pioneer DEH-1100mp for a while now and its a nice little stereo, also got my edge sub hooked up using it. However, few things I never got round to sorting and need help with!
A) What antenna adapter do I need so I can connect up my loose antenna wire?
B) What do I need to do to make the radio turn on and off according to ignition?
C) The "mounting sleeve" that came with the stereo never fitted in at all, and my stereo just hangs loose. I know I need to buy a fascia anyway, but will that actually hold the whole thing in place?

Any input for any of these questions would be great.

Thanks

A) As far as am aware antenna connections are standard fare so it should just fit in? If not, have a search on e-bay to see if an adaptor exists.
B) Not sure where the best switched live is in a Grande, in the Sei I've connected it to the window switches.
C) Yes

Cheers for the reply mate.
A) Ive found a few autoleads products: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/aerial-adaptors-fiat-c-47_778_861.html
but i really dont know whats needed! The back of the stereo: http://www.vltava2000.cz/shops/8674/images-goods/deh1100mp_rear_1_2_large.jpg
and then the antenna lead from the car is exactly the same as the main black wire (and end) that makes up part of this adapter: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/autoleads-pc5136-fiat-bravo-grande-punto-aerial-adaptor-p-9286.html

Ill take some real snaps tomorrow but that should do for now.
B) Have you made a guide or anything for doing this (or seen one)?

C) Ordered ;)

There's a wiring guide in the Cinq/Sei FAQ's but of course it's specific to our cars. You need to find an accessible switched live near where your headunit is, having never poked around behind the dash of the other half's Grande though I don't know where that might be :p

As for your antenna, I think either of the first 2 products will be what you need but await further clarification from other GP drivers before you make that decision ;)

Hi all,
Cheers for the replies and help! Just been and wired that ignition feed from the fag lighter and its been a successful job! Nearly smashed the wall in as I forgot id moved the gear lever, but luckily I had room! Ordered the fascia and also the antenna adapter and I just hope that they both solve the respective problems. Ill post again once theyve arrived and been fitted (or attempted to!).

Cheers
