General Piece missing from engine, any ideas what it was!

Just noticed this yesterday, checked in my Haynes manual but can't find the name of the missing bit. It must have been there for a reason so I'd like to replace it asap !

erm.... there is nothing there normally....

The Holes there are just ready for when other engine mounts are fitted

Clean that gunk and rust away anyway - before it causes problems later in life!

Thanks Ziggy. Those two little bits of red plastic looked like something had snapped off them, thanks for the swift answer. I will give engine bay a good clean tomorrow!

This is where I keep my coolest header tank in my puntos but they are both diesels so different layout
