Hi, Ive just managed to get my hands on a Fiorino Pick up. It doesn't seem in too bad a condition and I plan to tidy it up a bit and see how I get on.

My initial plan is to tidy it up a little. The previous owner didn't do many miles but I don't think it ever got cleaned. The doors are suffering from the usual rust issues, there not terminal but will need a little metal welding in. The flat bed is quite good with a just few small holes to sort. Chassis and sills are fine.
I'm going to keep things standard, no customising.

It would be interesting to know if it's a 1.3, 1.7, 1.7 TD, or 1.9 Diesel, or a 0.9, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, or 1.6 gasoline engine is in the car.
Fiat Brazil used so many engine's in the Fiorino....!!
Btw, the Fiorino old shape is still produced today..!!

I drove a non turbo 1.7 Diesel in my '94 Pick up for about 300.000 km ( 187500 mls) in 10 years without any engine problem at all...!!
One of the most reliable cars I ever owned.

Hi Peter, the engine is the same as your old one, the 1.7 diesel without a turbo. It runs well and looks to have been well maintained, it currently has 56845 miles, so relatively low mileage. I will change the filters and oil.

Great!
I used Castrol GTD Magnatec 10W40 oil, together with Fram PH2956 oil filter.
Changed oil and filter every 7500km (= about 5000mls)
I liked the large Fram oilfilter, but they have discontinued it, and it is now superseded by a much smaller filter....!
Try to find the largest filter, maybe search some small carpart shop where you live, maybe they have some old stock left.
