Copy the base layer, desaturate then ctrl shift and U (or E. Cant remember which) choose the colour you want and then select and delete the areas you dont want that colour.

You don't need to desaturate it.... Just adjust the 'hue' in Hue/Saturation.... (y)

THANKS!! been using paint.net which has a recolour tool but it's not very easy to use, this is much better way of doing it (y)
 
Probably be my final as i wont have time to do anything else and have ran out of ideas. Paint is a bit shabby on it i know. Click it and view it in fullsize as it looks really crap scaled down.

cant find any to fit :( since i distorted picture slightly

gave in on wheels cant decide if its better with this or without it

should be home in time tommorrow to decide
i wish i had more time :)

just done this very very quickly (about 30mins), wont have time to do it properly, just wanted to get my idea up :)

its a technical disaster i know, but hopefully in low res you wont see too many of the defects!
