not till its sunnier (n)
I just measure the spare half I have though, approx. 76mm inside and 82mm outside.
if you measure yours you can quickly work out?
also there are 2 slots that look like some sort of plastic clips may form a catch if you have those in your new part the design of the clips will also help show if its inside or out.

The total diameter of my new pipe is approx. 71mm inner diameter approx. 66mm.

The old pipe total diameter is approx. 78mm inner diameter approx. 73mm.

The diameter of the flexi hose that comes from the airbox is nearer to the dimensions of my old pipe. Even with a few mm difference would a jubilee clip make it tight enough for a snug fit?

HI all,

Phil also has some minor flat spots at certain rpm, seemingly at low revs say when at junctions setting off, or at higher revs on the motorway for example. The flat spots are not accompanied by an error light or warning.

Clive, I wonder if the flat spot/hesitation from stand still could be a fuel filter issue. After you suggested a fuelling issue and fuel filter on my recent thread about my car engine cutting out on idle, I'm beginning to wonder if the filter needs changing. I google'd about hesitation on acceleration and the fuel filter is one of the causes so just got me thinking. I'll get that done soon I reckon.
