Signed, but tbh I can't see the government doing anything. Lets face it, petrol is an easy cash cow. We all need it, they know that, so why lower tax?
Besides, with plenty of illegal wars to fund and druggies flats to furnish I'm sure they'd just raise the tax on something else anyway. Here's a thought - there's no tax on the air that we breath yet, bet that's next!
101.9p / litre at tesco danestone earlier. Emergency fill up. GUTTED  #-o
I agree it probably won't get us car owners anywhere but signing the petition is about the only thing we can do short of boycotting petrol stations which is never gonna happen. As you said
"petrol is an easy cash cow. We all need it, they know that"
Did anyone else notice an email in 'response' last week, stating the govt. 'cant' do anything about the price of fuel?
It's getting to the point of being ridiculous now. Although it dip down to just under a pound the other week, I was 1.03p a litre earlier today on the bright side...
