:eek:my wife has used the car and let my daughter put 30 pounds of petrol in a diesel car.can anyone suggest the best route for me to take to sort the problem:eek:

My Wife did this to our Toyota Lucida about a year ago.
I got it home by the AA, then just siphoned off as much fuel from the tank as possible, drained the filter bowl, and refilled with Diesel.
It started OK after a few seconds cranking and ran fine after 2 or 3 minutes.
Did she drive it far after doing it?
If dhe drove it until it conked out, you may need to bleed off the lines up to the injectors as well.
A bit of petrol going through won't hurt it, it's worse putting Diesel in a petrol car.

If its been driven there is a chance the pump may be damaged but assume it isnt to start with!

Get all the fuel out the tank, replace the fuel filter and empty as much as the system as possible using the primer (if there is one). Put some diesel in the tank and bleed and see if it starts.

There is too much petrol to top up with diesel and see if it runs, so dont try this.
