Hey there guys. I'm from South Africa and I own a fiat uno Tempo sx 1400 carb.

Are there any non expensive modifications I make to the car to increase performance. I want some more power but I don't want to spend an arm and I leg. A friend advised me to fit a performance exhaust while a someone else suggested I change the camshaft. Let's say I change the exhaust how much extra power am I looking at? And what other options are there

Hie the first step in improving your performance would be a perfomance exhuast and maybe a cam profile change But the type of engine you have would require re-shimming to accomadate the new cam shaft profile personally depending on availability of spares i would opt for the fiat x 1/9 camshaft.

I had a Pacer SX 1400 from 2000-2006. Did a full free flow 50mm, oversized valves, and UNO turbo cam. The thing was a rocket for a NA UNO.

That with decent sparks, good air filter (don't mess about trying to get a cone in there).

Another suggestion would be so get some good rubbers. I used to run the Yokohama A539. I think I saw that tread pattern/compound at Tiger Wheel the other day. It was not around for a while due to stock issues.

That's about it to keep reliability. It never skipped a beat after doing the mods and being a daily runner for 6 years.
