performance 1.6 & 1.8

i have to disagree about the 1.8 not reaching 60 in 2nd gear as mine seems to quite happily.

also if the 1.8 has more HP and more torque and a shorter gearbox, surely it would be a lot faster than a smaller, less powerful engine running on a longer gearbox?????

I can just get to 60 in 2nd. 80 in 3rd is more fun.

i used to just hit 60 in second at 6500 rpm on the limiter in my old 1.8 hlx

83 in 3rd at 6500. I know the limiter on my 1.6 is closer to 7k but it was getting noisy.
