Hi i am going to give my throttle body a good clean tomorrow ive anticipated for all scenarios maf sensor residue in inlet pipe one thing that has popped up in my head is if it were oily maybe it has a dodgy pcv valve as i fix a volvo a few years back that had a similar problem at it was pcv valve causing a problem out of interest where is it located on a twin air engine, other than that im going to clean the the maf sensor as well

Eh up - I think I’ve looked into this before on mine and if I’m correct it’s doesn’t have one 👍

Stand to be corrected on this

Ive just noticed in recent weeks it is using a little bit of oil which it didnt before, not a huge amount im just wondering whether it may be linked to the throttle body problem ive had recently, possibly it could be the the leak from the timing chain cover getting worse, i do over think things in my mind of nuts and bolts, it could be a leak from the turbo tho there is no smoke coming from the exhaust or noise from the turbo, just stabbing in the dark i would like to think it would have a pcv how would the engine breath perhaps someone will come along and enlighten me its a funny little engine its been behaving itself other than that

Steveetee55,

I’m now convinced myself it’s not got a pcv valve, found my thread👍

TTR, you are right, there isn't a PCV valve but there is a cylinder head breather. There is a gauze inside which is clear.
