Technical PCV valve o-ring

Hi there folks! I just tried posting this message and it appeared not to go through, apologies if this ends up a duplicate post! I have a small oil leak and I have identified I need to replace my PCV valve o-ring. Problem is, I brought my car with me to Sweden and getting the exact part shipped here is crazy expensive! I read that someone had used a different o-ring (a "Lasco 56"), and that the rounded sides actually made a better fit. I am wondering if I can head to the local autoparts store here and get a 1" o-ring to put in? Do I need to be worried about heat? Any advice much appreciated!

Hi of you can get the old o ring off and measure it then there's loads of (generic )choice on EBay silicone will withstand the heat and oil no problem.

I agree no need to buy the exact part from fiat at ridiculous cost.
