Hi

The electric window on the right side sliding door is dead. It is stuck almost all the way down so it is a bit windy when driving. I tried to find the right fuse just to be sure it isn't that simple, but no. Of all the gazillion fuses in the car (2003) none of them seem to be for the windows.

Is it really possible that the electric windows are not fused?

Hi, they dont have a separate fuse, I have a 03 ulysse on a 52 plate, had a look at my owners book on fuses and they are not listed , which means they are integrated into a control unit fuse, have you checked this fuse , by number and rating, 4=15a in the car, also sometimes the switch doesnt work as the elements on the door seal/ edge are slightly dirty, so might help if you wipe them down with a dry cloth both sides, hope that helps

Thanks Andy. I'll try to find that fuse. I have wiped down the contacts so they can't be the culprits.

Another thing to try as it does it on my rear sliding door window sometimes, is the switch on the drivers door, move it about abit up and down that is and hold it down for a minute, as this can reset the control unit, have to admit its very rare for a fuse to blow on this and if the other windows work then its not a fuse, as you didnt say if the others work

Unbelievable....

I came out to the parking and the window was up!!! Is this the time when machines start thinking for themselves and take over?

Thanks again Andy, but I won't tuch any of thease buttons again.

lol, sounds as thou it mite of had something in the seal or the switch control unit was being tempermental and needed re-setting, it should be ok to use now, as i get that occasionally
