Technical Passenger Door Problem

Hello All

New member looking for some advice

Went to move the passenger seat today and it wont go forward.

I can move it along the rails forward and back and the nob on the side can angle it. But using the lever to drop the back to let people in it wont move.

I assume some part of this needs fixed. Car novice really so can this be done by me taking the seat cover off and trying to fix it or is it a job for a professional.

Its due a service and MOT soon so if cannot fix it myself will see if the garage can but I'd rather not pay ££

Selling car in a few months and I'd hate for people to be put off by something like this.

Any help appreciated

You have labelled it door and are talking like its a chair you have the problem with?

By the sounds of things its the chair and it will be lever release somewhere in it, take the cover off if possible and just have a look at it

yeah its the seat I have a problem with. what a moron

cheers mate will have a wee look over the weekend. i'm off to my dads tomorrow I will let the old man have a look, he used to fix nuclear subs so this should be a doddle

will the seat slide back and forth when you lift the lever?
