General Passenger chair

The passenger chair leans back wonky and doesn't always lock into place , it's bin like that since I bought the car and wondering if anyone one had any suggestions on how to repair it cheap

Check where the seat is bolted to the floor is secure. any rust may have weakened the floor itself

Common punto problem
Ideally take seat out
Strip the back seat cover off by way of the plastic cover at the seat base then undo the zip and pull cover up
You then get access to the extremely sharp innards of the seat so watch your fingers

If you are lucky the cables aren't broke but the clip that doesnt clip is seized on its spindle to the other side
Lightly oil and work this to free it off
Replace the seat cover
Reinstall

Or buy another seat and swap the covers
The base seat squab just bolts in​
