Hiya all,

MY insurers sent my new quote through, so i phone up and they tell me my pass plus is only valid in the first year.

Is this correct??

Also, i had one crash, they said it were my fault but the claim was settled 50-50. is that right aswell?

I'm 24 Licence for a year now Pass Plus, Live in Huyton (Liverpool Outskirts), and drive an unmodded 1.2 Punto. they are all quoting me around £980 which is £300 more than i pay now. Anyone know if that is good??

BTW, my quotes are from confused.com, and current is screentrade.co.uk

Your pass plus certificate will only be valid for 1 year, but if you ring up the pass plus people (the DSA i think) then they will re-issue the certificate, thus enabling you to use it now.

I know this works as i did it myself.

i have had no troble with my pass plus, that was 5 years ago

the insurance validated the pass plus, gave me 35% discount and the discount has just kept on going up from then, apart from a little blip in 2002

Yeah, your pass plus should be continued, and should build up as with most companies it's the equivalent of a years NCB. So after your first year of driving, with some companies, you get 2 years NCB cause of the pass plus.

I've tried confused.com before and they quoted me £3600 cheapest on the Doblo, I found one elsewhere for £1800 and that was on the net. Shop around, it's worth it ;)

chears guys, but hte insurers all say it is only valid 1st year for a discount..

My best quote is £917 now, thats with driving 1 year, no NCB due to one crash NCB affected, 1.2 Punto, and i'm 24...

Anyone know of any good insureres?? P.S yes, i have gone to google, typed in car insurance and got quotes on all of them, and Adrian Flux, 4Youngdrivers, CIS aswell.

I know it's not too much really, but it is when i'm paying £670 now!!!

Any help'd be great, running out of time now...

elephant want £1150!!!

best is now £850, but they need deposit today (£210 inc breakdown) so will have to keep fingers crossed to get the same deal next week when i get paid....

Have to keep looking but running out of comapnies.....
