Technical Parking Sensor

My 70 hp diesel 'Idea' is just brilliant! I only wish that I had waited for a 90 hp one. I am amazed that I have not seen another since I bought it 18 months ago.

But the parking sensor just will not turn off. All the time I am in reverse, it is sounding. I have cleaned the 4 pick-ups very carefully, vacuumed them, blown them with a bicycle pump - all to no avail.
Is this a frequent fault?
How can I fix it myself?
Any help or advice gratefully accepted.

Sounds to me like you have a sensor failure nothing you can do but get it replaced we get them in work all the time.

I bought a new sensor on Ebay from Germany for about £35 instead of Fiat's ludicrous £95 and it came in days. Fitting is easy too.
