Hi all,

I've just fitted a set of genuine Panda sill guards to my 2018 Panda Lounge and very nice they are too. The Fiat part number is 59137471. On the sellers website (Glyn Hopkin) it says they are not suitable for Panda 4x4 or Cross models, yet I tried them on my 2018 Panda Cross 4x4 (without actually sticking them) and they fitted perfectly. Does anyone know why they are not meant to be suitable?

Well covered in other threads :) The sill guards are identical for all Pandas. However, the rear bumper guards are different (regular, 4x4 and Cross each have a specific bumper profile)
The 'genuine' Fiat parts are actually made by a UK company called Rearguards – I think based in Wales? https://rgmautomotive.co.uk/search/?make=&model=377&part_number=

When it comes to fitting them, it is much easier if you pull away the rubber weatherstrip from the bottom of the door opening, then the sill guards sit back properly against the metal 'upstand' that strip is fitted over. Also, carefully align where you want them to go and mark both ends accurately with a bit if masking tape. You only get one shot at sticking them down! If I can find my earlier post, it describes a technique for peeling the backing tape off in a way that gives a bit more control

However, don't read this one, which shows that in 2020 the sill guards were under £30 for a set of four! https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/new-panda-4x4-any-tips-accessories.483252/post-4565793
