well i know i might get some bias responses but i cant decide if i should get a panda or a peugeot 1007. advice needed please.

panda all the way.

what engine you looking at.

the 1007 is quite heavy, and some versions of it have the crap auto gearbox.

i roadtested a 1.6 with the geartronic gearbox thingy expecting it to be quite fast (110bhp) - my cousins 206 with that engine in was, sb 10 second 0-60 for the 206.

got in the 1007 and it took longer then my 1.2 micra to get to those speeds.

then theres the fact the panda has 5 doors, the boots about the same size, insurance on the panda is likely to be cheaper, and the panda's possibly more economical (y)

Panda all day long.

Those slidey doors in the 1007 are terrible for getting access to the back seats and they make the car very heavy.

Panda is so quick and nippy. Test drive the two and see the difference for yourself. Also I think the 1007 list price is far higher than the Panda.

I looked at 1007 and 207 when I was car hunting. I had a 205 back in the day, which I loved. Neither of those cars could hold a candle to it.

The Panda on the other hand....its my first day of ownership and I've been driving around with a big grin on my face all day. I only stopped driving when it was dark and snowing(y)

mate at peugeot says those doors slide off & causng loads of problems(n)

Not surprised by that. When I looked at it in the dealership, the first thing I thought was not 'ooh that's so cool' but 'How much would that be to fix out of warranty?'.

Gagdets on a car are one thing, but most of them are just nice additions. Doors are fundamental and you can't afford for them to go wrong.

Mmm, been carefully thinking about this for the last three nano-seconds, and I'd say Panda. Unless you can get the 1007 for nothing of course.

Have you asked the same question on a Peugeot forum? I'm sure they won't match the impartiality of us FIATForumers... ;)

I heard of someone replacing their Panda with a 1007. The reason was they were disabled and access in car parks was better with the sliding doors.

Well sure. If you need the sliding doors then better to go for the peugeot. But if you don't need it, why pay extra for something that you don't need?

If thats the case then its really between a pug 107 or a Panda I guess.

I was considering a 107/Aygo/C1 as well as the Panda but was put off by the cheaply built interiors, being someone who is prone to breaking things the Panda is made from better quality plastic parts over the Peugeots (etc). Don't know much about the 1007 but from what I gather its too expensive for what it is and doesn't get the best reviews. The Panda is excellent value for money and does not have a bad review against it (or not one which I've seen). Your main problem is having to deal with the Fiat dealers, sadly a lot of bad ones out there!

panda all the way, to put it simpley

1) panda - car of the year
2) 1007 - (i used to work at peugeot and NO1 EVER BOUGHT 1007)

so unpopular, heavy, slow and expensive brand new. you can pick them up for about 5grand now fairley new saving around 6 grand but you can get a panda for about 5 thousand anyway.

the only decent thing that the 1007 has is that you can drive with the doors open not very fast tho, but you obv would get pulled up by cops too.

youl also get more discounts on panda that pug. 1007 i thinik is the worst car they have made ever.

panda all the way:D

My Panda is entirely rattle free after 40000 miles and 2 years.
I'm not sure that would be the case with the 1007.
