General panda or 1007?

Alot of good ones though:) I go to alot of garages & see same complaints at most makes...fiat not the best but certainly not the worst.

Anyway we are here to help(y)

Sorry shouldn't generalise based on my bad experiences :( , very sorry!

Just watching on Dave the episode of TopGear where they used the presentors Mum's to review the 1007, Honda Jazz and Renault wotsit(!). They didnt rate the 1007 at all, its 0-60 was 18 seconds, makes my 1.1 panda look really fast! They reckoned the sliding doors would really annoy you after 2 days as they're slow and don't giv much room to get into the back of the car. Only plus I noticed was the paddle shift (as a gimmick) but that's probably an optional extra and means you need the auto box so not really a plus either.

Panda all the way still!

As I understand it, the 1007 was designed with those sliding doors to ease access in tight spaces, but also to appeal to young, hip and happening people, (a lot younger than me) but have mostly been bought by people a lot older than me. It doesn't do your street cred a lot of good when you pull up outside your local trendy bar only for people watching your sliding doors to point out that their Gran has one of those.

The main problems I see with the 1007 is that:

- its too expensive
- its 300kgs heavier

Otherwise, I like the car as it is. Im affraid I have to second PNL's statement though. Panda is an absolute winner here...

i like this thread as i was on the same ? but not the 1007. i like to be able to put shopping in the boot and the panda may well manage this job. the panda might work out slighty dearer to run, by the looks of it and a bit more un healthy but does seem a better car on book spec (well 1.3 multijet im looking at) although these head lamps and clutches are causing me concern. what edition are you considering
