Hi everyone, just saying hello! I’m new here and pretty new to Fiat as well. Right now I’m troubleshooting some electrical issues on my 2001 Fiat Panda 4x4, and I’m here to learn from the forum and the people with more experience.

Thanks guys!
I think I may have found the cause of the problem :)

Correct. When I tapped the relay yesterday, it suddenly started working, but the problem returned today

That fits with what the photo shows.
Severe oxidation on the high-current terminals, clear heat damage, likely high contact resistance.
Headlights draw high continuous current, especially low beam (they stay on all the time). When relay contacts corrode voltage drops, contacts overheat, eventually the circuit opens completely.
That’s exactly the symptom you have: low beam dead.
Relay still clicks
High beam may still work
Parking lights work
Low beam dead
Because low beam current is higher and continuous, it fails first.

Then I suspect oxidation on the commutator stick. I think you can't really get inside to directly reach those contacts without damaging something, but you totally can spray contact cleaner there. The contacts are exactly inside the stick. So spray some cleaner and do some movements, repeatedly turn on an off the lights. They should clean and problem should be fixed.

I tried that, but it didn’t have any effect. I can try once more tomorrow. I’m starting to worry it might be something else.
