General  Panda Immobiliser Code Card - got one?

I only bought the car two days ago and I've already noticed that my Code Card is missing. I've asked the dealer for it. Will see what happens.
 
I think i will chase up on mine also, i never received on collecting my car.
 
I have looked into this.....many dealers DO give code cards & some DONT....personally i'd at least ask for the code numbers as saves buying code card in the future.
Scenario.....you lose a key after a week & have to buy a new one & keycard (£3-10) seems unfair for a 'document' that is rightly yours?
 
My b/f had a Bravo a little while ago and it didn't come with the code card and has already been mentioned it is due to an agreement with Fiat. He should know as he is the type who reads the booklets that come with the BT bill, back of MOT certificates and anything that comes from the DVLA lol.
 
I got my 'almost new' 2010 Panda Active ECO last week and all is well :) except no Emergency Start code card. Dealer doesn't have it. Hoping that when the DVLA send my log book it will have last (and only other) owner's details so I can get in touch. Can you do this too? Otherwise I don't know - maybe a Fiat Agency can look it up based on the reg.??

Didn't you ask the owner when you purchased the car? I doubt they have the bits as they wouldn't have been given them.

Fiat can provide your code, but will charge £15+ VAT as a minimum. Sometimes more.
 
As an earlier post suggests, it is in agreement with UK insurance compainies. Most owners would keep these in the car, reducing security significantly. If you get one, you must inform your insurance company that you have it, the premium may increase. They may insist that it is not kept in the car, asking for your signed declaration. If it is in the car during a collision, your insurance company could deny responsibility, regardless of it having no relevance. If the car was stolen with it in the car, unlikely to be paid out.
 
well then i think they should take it out of the manual - along with the instructions on how to use the code to start the car!

well if the card is not avialable in the uk, every time a person in the uk buys one they will panic and try to get one...why not then put a slip in to say that in the UK the code is not available?
 
My new Seicento in 2000 had such a slip, as did the 2003 Punto purchased in 2004. My current '06 Panda has one too. In all cases, the slip is in the wallet, not in the handbook itself. It is easy for the slip to slip out and get lost.

Gentlemen I apologise to you both......but do tell me you throw away the assembly instructions when building flat pack furniture....were men afterall:D
