Arrrggghhhhh! That's a really bad weekend for me as I don't get back from Helsinki until late on the Friday night and have a very early start on the Monday.

Although I am still tempted to pop down and say hello to them all... just slightly worried spending time amongst so many classic pandas will speed up my inevitable trip to Hampshire to do business with Mr VmanC [attachment=1:cz4w1nee]redface.gif[/attachment:cz4w1nee]

We can share a car down then.... have a feeling that a classic Panda is next on my Fiat list once the cinq is sorted

Nearly had a couple before i re-started on it, so may as well :D

Come to the panda side you know you want to apart from being underpowered because it's a 750 my panda is brilliant. Oh wait that's a total lie problems include rust, rust, rust oh and did I mention rust. But apart from that they are great fun. Parts are starting to be a problem though.

I like them, but i don't think i'd have one as a daily.. purely as a back up/show appearance car though, certainly. But it has to be the 999cc one or a 4x4

Ye I had a 999cc in the past and they nip along nicely e.g you can get up a hill at more than 40mph. The 4x4 that is the holy grail oh the things I would do to get my hands on a good one.

Car? In my head I fly down and drive home. Ok, there's a few woolly details but the main thing is that I return in a car that I completely control and actually have to drive :D

My plan is to get a totally restored panda (hence dealing with VmanC) and then have it looked after by my usual mechanic. It's all pipe dreams for now but the idea of getting back to basic motoring is getting more and more appealing

So my recent posts on here about hating complicated modern cars isn't exactly helping calm it?

As posted on the FF thread (thought I'd posted here too..) I'm working most of that weekend.

However, it *might* be possible to look at doing something of the Saturday evening. All depends what their plans are etc but it would be great to show face for a bit and show a bit of appreciation to them for the distance travelled etc.

A few hours Saturday evening would work best for me too. The weekend ain't ideal at all as the weeks either side of it are going to be manic and insanely long (think 12 hour days every day) but since when have I ever said no to a road trip and with the promise of a heap of classic panda's...yeah I'll be there

Are we any close to working out when we'll be showing out faces/cars at this and is anyone else joining us? I'd still prefer late Saturday afternoon or evening as it gives me time to do a few things and catch up from being away

Hmmn... just as well everyone dropped out of this last night as I'm delayed in Helsinki and likely to miss the last flight to aberdeen tonight.

No worries. Even if there were people heading down I'd have been dropping out as I'm still in London, only had a few hours sleep and not likely to get home today until 11 am or so.

Also v. grumpy thanks to Finnair's incompetence so none of you would want to see me anyway

Whoops totally forgot even if I had remembers I was heading back from Orkney on the Saturday.
