Hello everyone! A new member from Greece
Here in Greece mini cars are very famous one of them is the new panda.
I am going to buy one 4x4 in a couple of months and the only problem I have with this car is the engine.60Hp are poor for 980Kg car especially for a 4wd vehicle which needs extra power when you climbing to the mountains.
Is it possible to tune this engine up to 80 or 100 hp without problem?
Diesel engines are not allowed in our cities!!!!!!
Is there going to be a faster version? 1.2 16v or 1.416V
Thanks a lot guys

Hi Andrea, welcome to the forums. The 8v 1.2 cant really be improved upon performance wise at the moment. Apparently the ECU Fiat use cant yet be remapped. You are right 60bhp in the 4x4 is a bit low, but hey, just cruise around and pose! Be sure to post up a picture when you get you car!

Hi Andrea,
Have you got your 4X4 yet?
I was worried about the low torque and high weight for driving on unmade roads(Rocks and Mud).
First and second gear are lower that standard I think. There is a big jump to third. I find it had enough power for the job and no more. They did test this thing in the Hymalayas!
If you haven't got it yet, get one. They are fantastic.

Did anyone see the Panda 4x4 on Fifth Gear? It coped brilliantly on a pretty demanding quarry, although getting that sort of battering on a regular basis I doubt would be very helpful to the mechanics!

It is a bit of a shame there's no Multijet 4x4 (or is it just not available in the UK?) as they would sell by the bucket load.
