General panda 2 tailgate lock

fiat panda 2 tailgate lock
key would not turn took out the lock . it was well seized could not get the key fully in the lock . after two days soaking in vinegar the key will go into the lock but still wont turn . removed the c clip but the barrel will not come out any suggestions?? the vinegar fairly cleaned off all the gunk and the lock pins are moving

i normally have success with engine oil thinned with meths


I am not sure vinegar is safe !
I dont know what the alloy the White metal cast part of the lock is cast is. But vinegar eats quite a few, I wouldn't risk it.
