greetings lovely folk

i am recently the owner of an awesome black panda 100hp and am loving it!

the car is great and loving having the climate controls settings in this cold weather!

need some help though, my trip computer is failing to show the outside temperature ( very useful in icy conditions). its showing on the screen but is just blank. ( as in ---C)

tried fiddling with the settings but nothing. anyone know how to reset or a fix i could try?

thanks

kennes

Probably a sensor problem. I've never looked at this type of problem before.

Off the top of my head this is a 'body computer' function and diagnostic software should be able to see what the reported temperature is, or not as the case may be.

In the absence of any diagnostic software then I would get/enquire for workshop info on where the sensor is located (probably in one of the wing mirrors) and where the signal is sent to. Having found the connector (either local at sensor or remote) then use an ohm meter to measure the resistance. Then use a hair dryer to heat the sensor (or you fingers if easily accessible) and see if the resitance changes.
