Test drove a 100hp today which had an unusual issue. Car would run through the rev range fine most of the time but would on occasion stop accelerating at 3-3.5k and slowly drop back, releasing the accelerator and then flooring it again would see it performing as normal.
This happened several times on a short run of around 4 miles. Engine was up to temp and there was no mis fire.
Almost like someone else was controlling the throttle and spoiling my fun.
The current owner has booked it in and subject to it being satisfactorily repaired, I'll buy it. Any ideas? Throttle position sensor, throttle body or ecu?
