Technical paint code

Hi all Im trying to find the paint code for my van aaken turbo the car has had a hard life in the last few years having has a some second hand panals fitted which are the wrong shade of yellow trouble is the sticker in the tail gate is wrong as its the wrong tail gate:bang: its custards old car the first one built by van aaken the reg is N246 UCF. Fiat are being very helpfull as usual cheers

so did I but I have looked on a couple of cinq sportings in my local breakers and have seen at least 2 different codes its not that critical as the car will need a full paint job when its done but I would like to know its right

there are 7 shades of broom yellow, i read it on ff so it must be true

Normally by the end of the paint process, the car is every shade of broom yellow .

all the shades should be close... the reason for different numbers is that that fiat will have a huge batch of paint which when run out the new batch may be very slightly different.

the main reason for the differences you will see is that after XXyears the paint will of faded. and depending where the car has lived will change how the paint has faded.

Don't faff around with paint codes (or pick one and respray the whole car!). Take it to a paint retailer and get it matched by swatch.

sorted it the rep from my local dealer came in the garage today and asked if all was ok and I told him about me ringing to try and find the paint code with no sucess he said he would sort it. Half an hour later I had a phone call its broom yellow code 258. its looking sorry for itself I have just noticed it has the wrong tailgate on too so thats another job to ad to the list

Pretty sure there was an 899 with a lighter shade yellow also?
