Technical P1719

hi.does anybody know what that code means?it has something to do with ABS and ESP.
car is Fiat Croma 2.2 auto year 2006 model.

Hi -- according to my software it is a Fiat specific code for a transmission fault. P17says this, 19 is the actual fault code . Hope this helps.

hi.thanks for a quick answer.car computer says ABS and ESP failure and also hill holder failure.where did you find those codes?I found lots of FIAT codes but no P1719.

The software is from E-Bay some time ago but it was sold as Fiat but didnt have any Fiat codes for my car 1.9 16v only older ones:-o
After a bit of chin scratching I reckon it could be an ABS sensor fault on the front wheels. The wheel bearings have a toothed rim which is monitored by a sensor and this is used to bring in ABS/ESP/Hill Holder as required. Take the wheel off and see if one has been knocked out of line or damaged?or the wiring pulled out etc.

Fiat description of fault is VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL (CAN), which could be anything, abs wheel sensor or wiring issue between sensors, abs unit, body computer. If you delete fault does it come back

and fault came back after I deleted it.

now problem is solved.I had to take the car in the local carage.It was rear wheel ABS-
sensor.It has loose connect.and the fault code was not P1719.It`s C and some numbers that I don`t remember.
