Hello guys
I've had this error code P1064 all winter. It always pop up, stay there for a day or 2, and then go away for a week maybe. It did that for the last 2 months i'd say. Yesterday i've had an oil and filter change. But right after the check engine (with the same code of course) came up, then during the day after multiple engine turning on and off it went away. You guys think now with the oil change it stay away? Much appreciated.

I think this fault will not go away. If I remember correctly, I had fault P1063.

What you could do: replace or clean the special filter of the multiair unit. Maybe even do an engine flush.

This didn't help in my case. A part from the multiair actuator of cylinder 3 was no longer connected. The car did run well with a hot engine, I did over 20 000 km with the engine light on.

In my case, depending on the outside temperature, the engine would start normally but when reving the engine above 1500 RPM and the engine still cold, it would start to shake terribly and lose power. Turning the engine off and on again, letting it idle at 900 RPM for a few minutes until it had at least about 60°C would allow me to continue my drive normally. The problem was intermittent, and was especially pronounced in spring and autumn.

I finally decided to replace the multiair unit, the part alone was around 1000 Euros.

It's a common fault for Punto Evo around 2010 - 2011, early 2012. There was a modification on the multiair unit for later Fiat models (2013 and newer, I believe).

Just to be clear: it also might fail with the oil changes regularly done. After the engine flush, my engine was as clean as new.
