I have a 1982 Spider 2000. It hits very hot, has not gotten in to the red however the over flow sounds like a tea kettle. I have flushed the system and replaced the thermostat. I still have the same problem. I'm not using water, my oil is clear, and I don't see water coming out of the tail pipe. Can anyone give me some ideals on what might be going on.

One other things not sure if this is part of the problem, when you are driving down the road you can feel reel hot air coming though the vents, even though the heater is off.

HELP!

If you are sure that the cooling system has been properly "bled" you may want to have your radiator checked (the cooling system is very difficult to bleed since some points are higher than the radiator fill port). Additionally, make sure you have the correct radiator cap, a "short" cap will not seal against the radiator and let the coolant "boil up" through the overflow system as you describe - actually, I would check this first.

Secondly, if you are certain the heat lever is in the "off" position (middle lever all the way up) you are feeling warm air because the heat control valve has gone bad - a common problem.

Thank I have check all of the above, however still having the same problem. I'm at a loss at this points.

Thank for you help
