Hey guys

Sorry if this is a stupid question, or could have been answered elsewhere in the forum but I'm totally new to this and clueless with cars.

Basically my Seicento S Reg evidently has some underlying problem, as when I drive for journeys 1 hr + it overheats terribly. On a day to day basis to and from work (15 mins) theres no problem, but recently I drove from Bristol to Newcastle and had MAJOR issues!

It started overheating towards Birmingham, I stopped and my coolant tank was basically boiling with steam under the bonnet. Unfortunately I had to carry on and had further issues on the journey, with repeated overheating (I dont have a temp gauge but the little temp light kept coming on). Stopped and had to replace coolant which had disappeared and to cool don several times on way up.

Since then theres been no issues, no coolant loss or overheating but Im worried about the underlying problem - especially as I have to do the return journey back to Bristol in 2 weeks!

Any help much appreciated, all I've heard is it could be some problem with thermostat/the pipes/possible headgasket, but I have no idea about cars so dont know what to do!

Chances are you have all those problems now, you'll end up getting towed if you don't sort it. I'd just take it to a garage if you don't know what you're doing and you need it soon.

P.S. Welcome :)
