Overheating fault? HELP!!!
Hi guys/gals
I have a 1998 2.0s Ulysse. I have a problem with the engine. Basically the car starts and runs fine. Its using virtually no oil, however its using water quite a lot, and i'm topping it up around once or twice per week. There are no visible leaks, so am wondering whether it could be a head problem. The head gasket was replaced in 2008, head skimmed as well as the cambelt, tensioners etc and new head bolts. Have recently noticed the oil is a brownish colour which would suggest it could be the head gone again????? Also there is residue in the oil filler area which i have been told is condensation, again unsure if it is?
Finally, after you do a water drain and change, how many bleed valves are there? I know there is one by the thermostat but unsure as to whether there are any more? Could an airlock also be a problem with the overheat?
I'm no technical expert and really like my car. Could anyone shed any light as to what steps i might need to take to keep it going properly?
Any help much appreciated!!!!!
