Yes good title, Can't remember what its called. when the door is shut there is a black thin rubber strip that runs inline with the bumpers, I've heard people call them supermarket trolley protectors before lol Hopefully you know what I mean.

I need advice help to remove the glue that's behind the rubber strip. I've finally fount a green door the same colour code as mine yay, problem is my doors and quarter's dont have the strips, but the door I've got does (n) I've pulled the rubber strip off just the glue remains and two blobs of what look like rubber glue? black in colour. Has anybody got any tips tricks to remove it without damaging the laquer finish?

thanks
Dave

...is supposed to work on it, can get it at Halfords.

Parafin or white spirit or even WD40 removes soft adhesives, wash area after use.

tcut, saw blistered fingers and a achey forearm! thats what it took when i removed my badges and door/window strips! i tried some lighter fluid but it took some paint. so i wouldnt reccommend anything along that line!

just found rubbing the adhesive with bare hands worked best to remove the bulk of it, then just use a loose weave cloth and wd40
