Been thinking for the past two weeks now is it time for a change. Had the Bravo 1.6 now for about 18months and it's been a pleasure to drive but have had my eye on a yellow 03 mr2 convertable thats just gone up for sale near me. Do i change? Mod wise i've gone as far as i'm going to go with the Bravo and as the engine isn't that tunable (bar replacing it) theres nothing else i'm willing to waste cash on. Not sure how tunable the new mr2's are though. I know the mk2's are fairly tunable as i know someone who's up to 300bhp but anybody know? It's the new 1.8 vvti engine if that's any help.

Thanks guys

Ryan

A Yellow MR2?

Proper Pimp-Mobile.

Errr, give it a swerve although I'm sure it'll be very dependable. If unfashionable.

Time for a change

Never heard of ANYONE tuning one of them, ok as a safe car but your better off with the mk2 if you want to mod.

Re: Time for a change

Done some research and they are said to be really reliable but as for "unfashionable" i don't know where you get that from nor "pimp mobile". IMO i see them as quite a stylish little car. Reasonably quick to 0-60 in 7.9sec's. Perhaps just a younger drivers car then ;)

As for the tunning yeah perhaps it's just the mk2's that were the more tunable. Saw a nice mk2 t-bar but like the newer shape i think.

Thanks for the input

Re: Time for a change

Cheap Boxster... Only one problem - no boot - at all. They must have forgot to include one in the design brief......

Yeah i suppose your right but with the sort of gap there is between the two type of markets i think it's a good alternative. Boot space is a major prob on them yes, but i'm going for that sort of impracticality before the mrs ties me down for good. :(
