PMSL = Pissed MySelf Laughing

LOL = Laugh Out Loud

TBH = To Be Honest

AFAIK = As Far As I Know

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion

ROFL = Rolling On the Floor Laughing

which can also be combined with PMSL to give you ROFPMSL

LMAO = Laughing My Ass Off

Which can also be combined with ROFL to give you ROFLMAO or with PMSL to give you ROFPMSL, or the ultimate ROFPMSLMAO

Yes, RTFM is a good one

I used to work in the financial services industry and that is littered with TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms) as abbreviations for policies and the like, for example..

DIS = Death In Service

PIB = Personal Investment Bond

ISA = Individual Savings Account

and so on and so forth...

My old boss always used to say "PUFO" at the end of the day... Pack Up, F**k Off and on a Friday, POETS'DAY...Pi55 Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday

Hardly stereotyping, seeing as I'm an IT trainer myself. If I was the sort of IT person to forever tell users to RTFM, I wouldn't be in my job very long.

People like ME make sure people like YOU know WTF it is you are doing and to know where the manual is when you realise you don't actually know it all

He's referring to the typical "I-think-I-know-everything-but-know-jack IT bloke" as opposed to ones that know their **** and don't have to try and be smart arses.
