hi m8s. Reading all your responses. It's a march 1993 uk spec so it must be the REV 2 model. So i'm assuming it's got 145bhp. But once it get's to 5000rpm it flies !! when did TOYOTA make it 170bhp ? it makes my previous marea 2.0 20v 147 look slow !! I am so keeping this car. Cheers Rob.

It's still standard but next is some new seats and 17" alloys (Jap Style) Then Nitrous !!

no mate they are that good as std lol they feel ace when changing gear id love one but i want to get some more driving experiance first.

It's a manual m8. Also it's very good in standard form. I can't imagine what their like in modded form !! Nitrous anyone ? The best part is, it grips round corners like there's no point in losing ?

Compared to my previous marea, the 2.0 16v MR2 engine is a little rough below 5,000rpm but once you get it to 7,000rpm it sing's and goes like hell !!

Honestly, youll never look back!
I let a mate take mine out once and he was shocked with the pick up n go! Got to 60 in about 4 seconds! In the dry, its great at a set of lights. However in the wet, i had to let 1 litre novas do me!

Got some pics somewhere, think on my work pc. Mine was a k plate, mine had a solid roof, better for corners!
 
Ant. If you can find those pic's, I would like a look at those 4 sure.

perhaps in year or so I might get the REV 3 model in turbo format.

Clean straight car. Nice. like the red. I noticed that the dashboard had the headunit re-worked to house a single din, and added gauges for the engine. I might copy that one.

The only prob I have at the mo, is that the induction air filter seems to get damp from the vent above when it rains, I might have to move the filter a little further down. cause it runs a little rough until it evaporates.

One of the subtle differances between the turbo and n/a is that youll notice that the grates in the "bonnet" are flush on n/a and slightly raised on the turbo, displacing the water more. You could always buy a turbo bonnet from a front end smash car

Does yours have the front fogs that follows the steering round corners?
I loved that little querky feature

from what i remember from the mates it was about 20mpg lol but he said it was worth every penny lol and with it been a toyota if looked after was brilliant, im sure the others will confirm, only one thing that i remember was they have problems with the MAF so if you find a cheap one that somebody doesnt know whats wrong its usualy that lol
 
If im honest, im sure my HGT uses more fuel than my mr2 turbo! Poss cus prices have been up'd since then tho!
always optimax too!
 
im going to a wedding on sunday lol our lass is dragging me lol i wish i could go, one of the lads from donnycruise is taking his "rally slag scooby project" lol and i can telll you this things well it makes hitler look like a nursery teacher who helps out in the soup kitchens on a weekend lol its pure evil lol infact if the devil was an object this car would be his alter ego lol

plus reyland and norris designs are inveiling there new cars this year you will have to get some vids for us mate

chears mate, i was really looking forward to seeing the new cossie, my mate was taking his evo down but hes away with work lol hes gutted , i was talking to him on msn and he was telling me what he had done to try and get off work lol tis a shae to as that thing he drives is insane lol it was built at norris designs last year and has been in and out ever since getting things tweaked read for this one day lol, well hes always got japfest lol
