Also, try Avant Browser to stop all known pop ups and the potentially harmful attacks they can make.

After the recent update of Avant I dont like it and it doesn't like cookies even though they are set up to accept also the yahoo search instead of Google

Cheers fellas, I formatted my hd last night and reloaded XP, but as soon as I connect to the net I'm bombarded with crap and unwanted porn (yes, thats unwanted porn ), I'll give these a try, cheers again

After such a lot of unpaid advertising for Avant browser on the forum, I decided to try it out. Not bad but not much better than IE6 with the google toolbar installed.
However, you can change the default search engine in Avant. I have mine on Google, look under tools or something you should be able to get rid of yahoo. I think I chose to use Google at some point during installation.

i use avast antivirus, its free for personal use and can be downloaded from www.avast.com
I've used this for the last 18months and had no problems at all.

if its broke fix it, if it brakes again burn it!
