OT. How do increase FPS for an avi video.

I have downloaded Pushing Daisies but on my cheap DVD player it jerks when playing. Its very annoying. I found this to be due to america using 23frames per second rather than the UKs 25frames per second.

Is their any way i can increase the frame rate with the audio aswell so that it doesn't go out of sync.

Im thinking virtualdub, but aint used it in ages.
