OT - Cheap HDTV

Hey guys,

I've been thinking of getting myself a HDTV, mostly for watching movies on my PC, using as a secondary monitor and for PS3 playing. I've been looking at this but I'm worried that it's so cheap that it'll actually be crap. It's supposed to have a Samsung panel though, which has to be a good thing? I can't really go above £300 so it's basically this or something smaller.

Cheers,

Garry

That's the thing, I've not got another HDTV to compare it to, just a 14" or something tube, so as long as I compare it to that and not other high end ones I should be laughing I'd hope!

As said, don't expect miricales.

but for the price that seems rather good.
Argos have the 'same' accoustic soloutions but is practically the same for £50 more (£299)

Have you tried going to somewhere like macro and having a nose around?

Darren

If the screen was a better one at 26" then I'd be tempted to step down to that, my room isn't big so I'd get away with it.

Idealy I don't really want to spend over £300 but if the step up in quality was a lot for a little bit more then it could be tempting!

I looked around the local stores and it seems like their equvilant spec TV's come in at around the £400 mark.

Cheers,

Garry

Cheers for that Tommy. Have you used bigpockets.co.uk before? I'm always a bit concerned about getting refurbed stuff, but people I know have also got some great deals by buying refurbed.

Cheers!
