.. hired from rental stores?.

I've got a cd-writer, dvd player on my pc.

My kids are interested in getting hold of a particular game which comes on 4 discs.

I'm not very computer literate. :- (

Thanks

Gerry

If the computer games are for a playstation etc then I am pretty sure you cannot copy them but if they are for the PC then it could work but you might have to download a hack to acctually play them from the net.

No expert but thas whats my experience with copying games has taught me.

Thanks - it's PC games I'm interested in.

Sims 2 to be precise.

Nero does playstation games,as does CD-r Win however you need a CD-RW that supports overburning and various other things, the plextors usually do these

try a google search for copy playstation games on PC im sure you will find some interesting sitez :)

game copy

all pc games are copy protected!

start here

www.gamecopyworld.com hire it, install and get a cracked exe so you can play it without the cd (keep original exe for the patch- to replace cracked exe)

or get emule\bit torrent et al and leave you pc on all week and just download it

Re: game copy

There has been a cracked version of the Sims2 for ages.
You can copy all 4 discs with Nero/CloneCd and the like. And as previously mentioned you just need the nocd crack.

I of course would never condone any such behaviour ;)

Go to www.cdcovers.cc to download the labels for the game so you can print you own discs. Or so I have been told ;)

Re: game copy

Tut tut...;)

I always make copy's of my original games, as when the nephews get hold of them 9/10 times they will not work again.

Copy with Nero. If Nero wont copy them (some of my latest CD won't allow me to copy them), got hold of an ISO creator, then burn the ISO to a CD.

Do a search on google for a 'no CD' patch...(watch out for pop-ups!)

Re: game copy

use alcohol 120% :) a very cool cd burning software

to copy ps1 games you can use nero upto version 5, or goldenhawk cdr-win. all you need is a writer that supports 'raw' reading/writing.
To copy ps2 games if they are the purple discs its the same as ps1 if its the normal dvd discs you just need a dvd-writer and do a straight copy (but at about 2 speed for it to be reliable)

if its broke fix it, if it brakes again burn it!
