OT/any one know a thing or two about compressors??

My compressor has started,to play up when starting from cold,it's like it is strugling to turn over and slowly gathering pace,then trips the trip swithc,and then blows the fuse.

It started first time straight away the first time i used it,but as i say now blowing fuse's.

Once it gets up to speed it runs and kicks in fine.

It has enough oil,and is a 50 littre 240 volt jobby.

Any ideas??

how often do u let the water out? like when uv used it, do u let the compressed air out?

Its a 1.4 Chassis, 1.6 Engine and 2.0ltr Brakes and half a Marea

i have only used it about six time's drained it after the fourth,and alway's drain the air after useing it.

u say its just when its cold? the fact u are saying it trips the switch and blowsa fuse makes me think that there is a electrical fault. it hasnt fallen over recently or been knocked badly?
