For those of you who are a bit squeemish(sp?) best not look at this, however if you're already reading this after seeing the title here's where you need to look...

Quite unfortunate for both parties concerned...more so for the fox. Not a pretty way to go. Reminds me of the time we had an Accent come in with the carcass of a dog where it's grille should have been. And yes, our workshop DID do the repairs on that car. Still remember that horrible stench after all these years.

Just glad that it wasn't some human who had the high-speed meeting with the car.I hope that none of us here ever have to deal with something like that. I should know, 'cause I was....

Fried Foxy, wonder how long it`ll take to get the smell out of the heater matrix,
I still remember the smell of dear (roe) after hitting one in my corsa, mmm.....

Must of scared the "beep" out of the driver1 Must of been one hell of a bang.

Poor fox....

There's loads of them around my area at the moment, and had a few close calls lately too.

If only they knew the green cross code... :(

Nasty!! what do think was the last thing to go through it's head??

-Could also do with a clean;
-Need new bump strips;
-Want new wheels.

i no that car was goin at some speed but it's not very strong. i hit a fox at 100mph with a fibreglass body kit and it left no damage just some blood, i was more worried about the neons. lol

thats a tad grim :( but Marks is worse imo :(

i hit a fox at 90 and all i managed to do fortunately was crack the front bumper, but you n'alf feel guilty after hitting something at that speed :(

i find it hard to believe you hit a fox at 100mph with a fibre glass kit and it did no damage. i hit a dog, that was similar size to a fox, and it did €2k worth of damage. i was only doing about 40mph. the front bumper shattered, rad bent, rad panel bent etc..even one wing was bent with the force

my mate hit a wee roe deer in his punto doing about 60mph on a dual carriageway, and it was written off. Car was worth about £3-4k too!

its easy done. Remember that insurance companies value at full retail, so even just a bumper, and nothing else, would be about £500 replaced on a punto according to them! painting, fitting etc, all at high hourly rates!

my car isn't a write-off. it's been fixed right now. the owners of the dog didn't have the dog under their house insurance so they have to pay out themselves. they were asking for it..who walks a dog on an unlight main road in the dark without a lead!!

well i had the same kit as paul (rascal) has. and they are very strong kits. it did no damage to the kit at all and i had a car full of mates. it made a hell of a sound but no damage.but only hit the back end of the fox as it ran across the road. so sounds like a lucky escape.
