Open Door symbol Not Coming On

Right, just noticed my symbol on the dash is not coming on to say that my door(s)/boot is open.

What could the problem be??

I have just had a new alarm fitted, could the fault be related to this??

did they connect the alarm to the doors ?

It was working fine. Cant remember when I last saw it on though due to it only coming on when the doors are open when the engine is on.

@sven - they have connected the doors up and the boot and the bonnet.

Could me removing the standard alarm have done this??

Most likely they've disconnected something to fit the new alarm hence it not working now.

May have messed up some wires, but first check the bulb

Thats what he said, check the bulb.

I thought the symbol was lit up via LED though.

Not vital but would be nice for the boot.

Stu, is your HGT mk1 or 2 ? the mk1 has bulbs, but the mk2 ones did have some features with bulbs.
Wont lose nothing if you try, if not - he fu**** something up

Sorry to mess you guys about.

Just found out the problem.

The door indicator is part of the old alarm unit. Going to have to see if I can sort it out now.

If you look at the electronic alarm diagram in the owners handbook.

item 14 - Doors non closed properly indicator.
