I do believe it's a 126. Mine was bonded in with silicone. But I have a rubber seal so I would think the screen outer would need to be adjusted to fit.

yeh gonna re asses my windshield fitting for sure as it looked god damn ugly when it was on LOL.

dont mean to badger but could i have a picture of the arches as well.....will do the same to mine i think to stop the crap off roads flinging into rear and front.

man i cant waite to bolt stuff back on !!!!!!!!!!!!!

fun days a head

kevin

Have'nt done the front yet, tried to take pics of the rear but you can't see it well from underneath. Will post more pics when I do the front as it will be the same but clearer in pics. Did the roll bar today. Will post tommorow. My camera won't talk to this computer so my other half [Sharon] Has to put them on at work, all a bit time consuming. Doh. Cheers Steve.:)

No worries Steve, as n when..

got all the frame painted now so tonight gonna start to remove rear end from donor if it aint raining and clean it up for hammerite.....not sure what colour to do the springs, schocks or even the axle....was thinking of red to match body but might change colour of body paint yet. oh the decisions we have to make LOL.

cheers

kevin

I think red and black would go with any body colour, Only the MOT inspectors are going to get the benifit. I think you'll find it goes slower on re-assembly, lots of fiddly glassing to do, I had to do a few things twice.

cheers steve, i think the lights are not the same as mine as mine are MK1 sierra that curl down on the outer edge but will bear them in mind when i get to doing the rear...

picture great and printed off, so will take it place i found and get an estimate for the roll bar.

thanks again

kevin

PS, nice plane tho.

looking good, I'm still waiting for more paint. Have you thought about keeping a eye on the weight of the car, I now wish I'd kept a record then I would know approx the power to weight ratio. Just a thought. Cheers Steve

Yeh thought of that but the chap said it weighed about 510kg when built, so if i just put back what came off then wont be far from that figure, then its a case of working out PTWR with the new engine.....how ever you do that calculation..LOL

kevin

will post more picks as i go along..

I think I can get close to a power to weight ratio. Does any one know the approx power of the 1000 Fire engine? I'm doing a lot of sitting in making engine noises. It's great. Cheers all Steve

Put a camshaft in from a 4x4 Panda and you'll get 50bhp. Very cheap upgrade. If you're right about the weight of the car then you'll have a whisker off 100bhp/ton. Should be a giggle. Nice cars by the way. I also have a Panda based kit car.

Wow. thats impressive, wish I was that dedicated to keeping build diary but just tend to forget. Might well be looking to add a little extra grunt in the future. Getting an MOT is my main goal at the moment. Great car mate. Pity we're all so far apart, might be nice to arrange a meet when we're all up and running. I'm sure there are others out there too that would be interested. Keep up the good work Cheers everyone Steve:)

My Gaitors arrived today (y). They're for my 4x4, but refitting the engine and gearbox before Saturday is a priority so not sure I'll be able to fit mine so quickly.

Nice to see they will fit though. :p
