One wiper not working

Sort of OT, but not at the same time, i have a punto (still a fiat), and today when i got in the car, one wiper wont work,but the drivers side is working fine for some reason??
What could this be?One minute it worked the next it doesnt

Check the linkage or it could be the nut holding the wiper arm has come loose, causing it not to grip properly on the taper.

wow. my mums did the same to me tonight.
its the linkage for sure. My mates punto lost a part at one of the pivoting joints, but he fixed it with a bobble temporarily, and then i think paid a garage thirty quid or summat daft to put it right properly a few weeks later.

This is a common fault on puntos.
My girlfriends and my mates have gone.
Easiest just to get whole new linkage and motor(it comes in one piece) off ebay for £60.

I had this on the Teapot.

At each end of the linkages are plastic grommets, which wear and become loose.
They are available separately and easy to replace.

rite cheers guys,i thought it might have been something to do with an earth or something cos my front passenger side headlight is flickering between working and not!

wiper and headlight, totaly different problem. most likely a loose connection for the light. wipers as the other replies say
