One Problem fixed, another arisen...

Just had the engine all fixed, ran it and ran ok. Although after a min or so of running we noticed smoke. This was from the engine top cover so we took it off and found the yellow/black wire to the plugs had been caught and burnt. Its been cut and reconnected and now the Code light stays on and engine doesnt start.

i thought it would be fuses but the ones inside car are fine.

Anyone know what needs to be done?

Unfortunately I'd put money on your ECU being fried.

lucky me, fuse in ecu costing 20p!

i dont know the technical jargon but something like the crankcase ring or something had dropped. Didnt look too nice when i saw it compared to what they should look like! but before it was fixed it was knocking like mad.

Had new bearings, gaskets and stuff i think he said, not sure. But now most of engine is new and had rebuild.

Havent drove it yet, just got a txt from dad so cant wait to finish college!

correction, cylinder ring, and i didnt get off too well, need one new coil but im not paying for that so maybe now its back on road again i might spend some money on it.

beware! if you choose to spend money on your car, its a known phenomenon, that within a month or soo, your car will choose for you to spend more all by itself. dont know why. you fit a new cd player, your brakes crack, or you put new alloys on, and your exhaust will start blowing! you'd think the bloody things didn't want to be modified, lol.

cant say mine ever complains. well only when im driving the other car. she wont start unless i talk to her tell her i love her. stroke her and jobs done starts a treat
