Any advice on this fault code pleaseeeee….
I have looked into previous threads to no avail with my issues

Van drives and sounds fine which I can’t understand this code
No warning on dash
Just comes in mes software on body it’s u1600

The van has no immobiliser I have 2 keys that are showing programmed
I have also seen in parameters it says ecu code from engine Ecu not received and a faulty one … may this be a short on the wire ?

Any help highly appreciated before I get a auto spark out to try shed some light on the situation

Oh I have also seen the code change to D600 but that wiped and then came has u1600
If anyone has any ideas to what I can do I’m on the last run now after weeks of looking and changing sensors on the gear box

Maybe because the factory immobiliser has been deleted and removed?
When I bought the van nothing was on it only a cut off button no idea what that did
But I wanted a ghost fitting but the guy that came said it couldn’t be fitted to my ducato
So he fitted some device behind my dash and gave me 2 tiny plastic fobs I have one on my keys
I wave it on the dash which then activates power the dash will light up this is all I know that got done

So could this be the issue the first immobiliser got removed and deleted maybe ?
 
Minicrypt relates to an imobilser part and as you have stated the imobilser has been removed (programmed out) there is nothing you can do about it.
 
It may be possible if you have or know someone with the right equipment. From the MHH forum:

You have to virginize eeprom, and then make Immo Off + DTC U1600, then checksum has to be corrected in Flash file.
After you wrote virgin eep + immo off flash, car will starts no problem and without DTC, also remember that the transponders in keys have to be recognized from car's BCM, otherwise you will have code light in dash.

And van does start and drive no issues at all
I just noticed these codes while in mes is all while I’m servicing the selespeed and doing calibration
Today tho has gone a little different
I keep getting po856 again I thought this cleared up after cleaning ground cables on the front behind the bumper on the brace support legs and disconnect the abs pump connector and cleaning
I think I have some short in the wiring

But yes about the u1600 that makes sense with the immobiliser delete and this new fob fitting
I’m getting no issues from it tho

I have messaged a old pal that does ecu mapping and ecu flash Ive given him what’s been mentioned
I need all fault codes gone otherwise some software won’t work like clutch calibration no stores codes on the ecu gearbox or engine can be present

One more thing rhs headlight the harness and loom under it I have noticed 3 wires with some damage on the plastic sleeve I can’t see any copper wire damaged but can this effect anything else ? Maybe the code po856 which is down to the abs etc
I have noticed this harness comes from this area
Can damage to the outer sleeve gives issues or do you need brakes in the wire to actually short out on other damaged wire ?
Found 3 today so just taped up

That's almost certainly all because the immobiliser has been removed. As long as the vans starts and runs it's not a problem, but it appears that the faults could have been flashed out according to the MHH post, which would stop U1600 appearing if it bothers you.

Any ideas guys why in multiecuscan I can get Rad 2 working but not Rad 1
I hear the relay clicking like it’s trying to switch on
Changed relay for new but does the same
Rad 2 comes on when press execute but nothing on Rad 1
Air con works
But isn’t fan 1 come on when aircon turned on ? Because mine doesn’t
I’m seeing temps fine on gauge and in multiecuscan
Outside temp shows and working
Could it be the resistor barrel top right side in the radiator maybe ?
No blown fuses checked all today
Aircon was empty last week so had it filled
Just no fan 1
I have got a spare coolant sensor some place and heater blower resistor I’ll have to find out but wouldn’t both fans not work if was one of those ? Strange
I’ll have to do some tests looking if getting a live feed to the rad 1
