General Oil problem

I had new sump (brand spanking new) fitted about 3 months ago now. Thank god. And have been enjoying the oil free driveway and no need to buy copious amounts of oil weekly.

Then couple days ago I noticed a patch under the car. Its oil. Its under the front of the car, slightly to the right. Not directly under the sump.

Have had a peek and cannot see where it is coming from.

I don't know enough myself to know where to look, what to look at etc etc. But did check the oil yesterday and this morning again, and all is ok with levels according to the pokey thing.

Can I just ask though, what happenes if there is too much oil in there?

Too much oil can cause oil leaks, check arround the oil filter and oil pump and have a good look under the car with a lamp. Check arround the sump too where it meets the block.
